This is sad news... James McAvoy and wife Anne-Marie Duff have confirmed that they are divorcing after nine years together.
The pair, who are famously private about their personal life, first met while working on Shameless, but alas, the pair are parting ways. In a joint statement to People, they said: "It is with tremendous sadness that we have come to the decision to divorce.
"We enter this next phase with continued friendship, love and respect for one another and the shared focus of caring for our son.
"We ask that you respect our and, most importantly, our child's privacy during this time."
TheX-Men: Apocalypse actor and his wife have one six-year-old son, Brendan.
