It seems that Nicola Roberts is hot on band mate Cheryl Cole's heels - the 22-year-old has revealed her intentions to strike up a solo career.
The flame-haired singer told reporters at the launch of her new Dainty Doll make-up range that she had recorded several secret studio sessions.
"When I've not been doing Dainty Doll this year, I've been in the studio non-stop doing all of my own song writing," she said.
Nicola also confirmed that despite the delayed Girls Aloud reunion, music still comes first:
"I would never give up on music. Music has always been the thing that's been closest to me."
