The Rookie is gearing up for a milestone moment between two major characters in season 6, and fans are curious whether a related real-life event might be reflected on the show.

In January, Jenna Dewan proudly announced she's expecting her second child with fiancé Steve Kazee and her third baby overall (she shares son Callum with Steve and daughter Everly with ex-husband Channing Tatum). As she's currently filming the latest installment of the ABC drama, she posted on Instagram ahead of the February 20 premiere. The actress uploaded a series of mirror selfies documenting her IRL pregnancy while on the show's set.

"Bring your bump to work edition," she wrote on February 19.

While fans were ecstatic to see the Step Up alum blending her professional and personal lives online, many headed to the comments to ask about what this means for her Rookie character, Bailey Nune. Since Bailey is all set to wed John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) early on in season 6, some are wondering if Jenna's real-life journey to motherhood will be seen on screen as well.

"Is being pregnant being written into The Rookie for your character?" one person inquired on Instagram. "So [does that] mean that in the story Bailey will be pregnant?" another asked.

The Rookie's official Instagram account also commented on the post with three supportive heart emojis: 🫶🫶💕.

While fans know Bailey's life will change when she weds Nolan in the special 100th episode event, that's the only confirmed milestone for her character at the moment. In an Instagram reel posted ahead of the February 27 episode, Jenna's character is glowing in her wedding gown, but there's no bump in sight.

Jenna previously shared another behind-the-scenes post promoting the show with a similar sentiment. In a TikTok clip that appears to have been taken on-set, she humorously showed how her costume hides her growing belly while on camera. "@The Rookie Universe is back tonight!" she captioned the post on February 20.

As The Rookie continues to air new episodes Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET, we'll just have to tune in and see if something changes!
