Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is reported to be interested in bringing his former player back to Anfield for a second spell.
Klopp is said to be monitoring former player Nuri Sahin
Jürgen Klopp will be monitoring Nuri Sahin at this summer’s European Championships, according to Turkish media outlet AMK.
The German coach managed Sahin during his time in charge at Dortmund, winning the title in 2011, a season where the Turkish international won Bundesliga Player of the Year.
And Klopp is said to be keen to bolster his central midfield, with Sahin seen as the ideal candidate for the role as ‘an experienced player with football intelligence’.

Should a move materialise, it will see Sahin return to Anfield for a second spell, having played under former manager Brendan Rodgers.
Sahin joined Liverpool on loan in August 2012 after just a year at Real Madrid, where he failed to truly establish himself following a €10 million switch from Signal Iduna Park.
However he never truly made an impression at Anfield either, making just 12 appearances before having his loan cut short so he could return to Borussia Dortmund.
Will Klopp be reunited with Sahin at Anfield?
Sahin, 27, is expected to play a key role for Turkey at the Euros, and he will have to perform at this best if they are to make it out of what is a very tough group, as they share Group D with Croatia and current holders Spain.
Sahin has 49 caps for his country, and should he add to that in France, he’ll know Jürgen Klopp may well be watching.
