The Turkish club are in the market for a full-back following the departure of Alex Telles to Porto.
Armand Traore is wanted by Galatasaray
Galatasaray have earmarked former Queens Park Rangers full-back Armand Traore as a possible alternative option at left-back following the permanent departure of Alex Telles to Porto, according to Turkish website Fanatik.
Telles spent much of last season on loan at Inter Milan, making 20 appearances, but the Italian club did not take up the buyout clause in the loan agreement.
As a result, FC Porto have swooped for the Brazilian full-back, landing him for a reported €6.5 million.
Traore is wanted as a backup full back
This leaves an opening at left-back, with Lionel Carole currently Galatasaray’s only option, and Turkish reports suggest that Armand Traore is now on the club’s radar.
Traore is a free agent after being released by QPR, having not made a single appearance for the club all season.

The club had tried to move him last summer, however, with an inflated wage of £25,000 per week, potential suitors have been few and far between.
Yet incredibly, the Senegalese full-back may have found a remarkable reprieve and a potentially career saving move in the form of the Turkish giant, who finished a disappointing sixth last season in the Super Lig.
Traore joined QPR five years ago
Traore came through the youth ranks at Arsenal, spending time on loan at Portsmouth and even Italian champions Juventus back in 2011, before joining QPR in the Premier League.
Despite featuring regularly for the club during his five-year stint, after relegation in 2015, he had been exiled from the first-team squad before being released at the end of last month.
