Could Thomas Christiansen bring Nuno Morais to Leeds United?

Thomas Christiansen is searching for his first signing since taking over at Leeds United.

Thomas Christiansen is yet to make his first signing since taking charge of Leeds United, but a reunion with Nuno Morais at Elland Road could appeal.

Christiansen is known to be a fan of Morais, after making him vice captain at APOEL.

And the former Portuguese youth international knows English football, having represented Chelsea in his younger years.

Morais spent three years with Chelsea, between 2004 and 2007, making nine appearances in total for the Blues.

The 33-year-old is now at a far more advanced stage of his career, but his quality has been clear in recent years at APOEL.

Morais has played a key role for the Cypriot club over the past decade, and he has made over 300 appearances for APOEL.

Morais is, understandably, a very popular figure with the Cypriot champions now, but a move to link up with Christiansen could be an option.

Christiansen and Morais are known to have a good relationship, and with the 44-year-old boss trying to make an impact at Elland Road having a familiar face around could help him settle in.

If Morais was to move to Yorkshire he would bolster Leeds’ midfield ranks, which could be crucial for the upcoming campaign.
