Norwich City have announced that Tim Krul has penned a new three-year contract at the Premier League bound club.

The goalkeeper played every minute in the league last season as the Canaries won the Championship title and now looks set to star in the top flight under Daniel Farke.

Krul made his name at Newcastle United in the Premier League but a serious knee injury impacted on his tenure at St James’ Park and he left in 2017 for Brighton & Hove Albion, initially on loan and then on a permanent transfer.

The 31-year-old had one season on the south coast before upping sticks again and linking up with Norwich last summer, and this term he kept 13 clean sheets in his 46 appearances according to Transfermarkt.

Krul’s new deal will run until 2022, and he joins Timm Klose and Marco Stiepermann in committing his future to Norwich in recent weeks as the East Anglian club prepares to grace the Premier League once again.

The Dutchman took to Twitter to express his delight at committing his future with the Carrow Road outfit:
