Model-turned-cookery writer Sophie Dahl expecting second child

Cook book author Sophie Dahl has confirmed she is expecting her second child.

The model, who is married to the jazz musician Jamie Callum, gave birth to her first child in March, a daughter Lyra.

Sophie, whose grandfather was the author Roald Dahl confirmed to the Daily Mail that she is pregnant.

Speculation that she might be pregnant arose when she attended the Harper Bazaar Awards in London last night wearing a loose fitting dress.

Although the 35-year-old has been concentrating on her food writing and BBC2 cookery show in the past few years, she recently returned to modelling and is the face of the Aubin & Wills' new autumn campaign.

Sophie and husband Jamie married in 2010.
