5 people injured in crash involving Magnolia firetruck

Everyone who was injured is expected to be OK. The wreck is under investigation.

MAGNOLIA, Texas — A Magnolia firetruck flipped on its side after crashing with a small SUV in Pinehurst on Thursday afternoon. 

It happened a little before 2:30 p.m. along FM 1774 and FM 149. Four firefighters onboard were taken to the hospital in Tomball. The driver of the SUV was also hospitalized. 

Fortunately, everyone taken to the hospital is expected to be OK.

The Magnolia Fire Department said the firetruck was returning to the fire station when the wreck happened.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
