PRESS RELEASE

Basler “ace” GigE Models with Interlaced Sensors Enter Series Production

Ahrensburg, 06 October 2010 - Basler has started series production of the next two models in the popular ace GigE area scan camera series. They are named the acA750-30gm and acA750-30gc. These new monochrome and color models have resolutions of 752 x 580 and 748 x 576 pixels respectively and deliver 30 frames per second using the popular Sony ICX409 interlaced sensor. They are an ideal fit for all classic factory automation tasks, electronics inspection, and automotive production.

Due to their high sensitivity and low price, interlaced sensors are very popular in many inspection applications and are often used in analog cameras. With the introduction of these new ace models, switching from analog to digital is easier than ever. Because they have the same 29 x 29 mm footprint, offer all the advantages of a digital camera, come with Basler's proven camera know-how, and feature the same or sometimes even a lower price, the new ace models are an ideal replacement for analog cameras with interlaced sensors.

Additional ace Models at VISION Stuttgart
Basler will introduce additional ace models at the VISION show in Stuttgart/Germany from November 9-11. Four new models with Sony CCD sensors in standard resolutions will be introduced. Basler will also launch a set of innovative, fast, high resolution CMOS cameras within the ace series that will revolutionize current price levels for this camera class.
