Yesterday was a very bittersweet day - it was officially my last day in San Antonio as a Liaison Engineer.
As I've said MANY times, I love my job. I love the constant challenge, cross-silo communication, being able to get my hands dirty (when I want to 😏). I've learned so much from everyone. The biggest lesson by far?
ASK. Ask your coworker who's been there a little longer. Ask the new kid who may have a new perspective. Ask that other guy in the other building who you think might have mentioned something before. And most importantly, ask your technicians (they have been one of my BIGGEST resources).
Utilize all available resources. As engineers, one of our biggest focuses should be efficiency. If opening your mouth can solve the problem 3 days faster than trying to figure it out on your own, you should definitely do so. And walk and talk, don't just email!
Special thanks to Kevin Fedyk for always encouraging me to figure it out, even if I was stomping my little feet. David Ruedy and David Guanio, thank you both for truly listening to my opinions and telling me to keep it up. You are both AMAZING leaders. And of course, thanks to Dominic Papagni for opening the door to Boeing and believing in me!
I will miss my people. I will miss my airplane. But it's time for the next chapter. See y'all next year 🛫 Be safe!!
