In a recent study of CABI, researchers explored the potential of portable near infrared (NIR) spectrometers in assessing protein content in cereal seeds and ripeness grade in pomegranates. From convolutional neural network (CNN) models to feature permutation importance analysis, the study unveils crucial insights for the future of food technology. Our #xiMU subminiature camera was part of this groundbreaking research. With a tiny footprint, the xiMU camera offers resolutions ranging from 5 to 19.6 Mpix and a variety of sensor options, including onsemi and Sony sensors as well as global and rolling shutter options.
