Mike Tyson will return to the ring at 57 years of age to face the YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, 27, in a bout that is generating a lot of expectation over the return of the former heavyweight multi-champion.

However, simultaneously, there is also a lot of dismay at the state of modern boxing.

Nevertheless, Iron Mike shared a video on social media of his training for his fight with Paul, surprising everyone by how good he looked at his age, showing that his punch apparently has not lost power.

However, Tyson has received criticism from some fighters about the video, the latest from martial artist and former UFC fighter, Chael Sonnen, who on the PBD podcast said that for him, he did not take his training seriously and called it "bulls**t".

Furthermore, Campbell Hatton, the son of former boxer Ricky Hatton, has stated that footage of Tyson's training has misled fans into believing that he is adequately prepared to face Paul - but not because the rival is too skilled.

"People are getting carried away because Tyson looks incredibly formidable in the training videos," Hatton said in an interview with talkSPORT.com.

"But people are justifying the fight based on his training prowess."

Hatton emphasized Tyson's age and noted that despite his punching skills, at 57 years old, enduring rounds of fighting and taking punches is a major challenge against someone 30 years younger than him, who is also a professional boxer.

Mike Tyson's KO record

Tyson is a former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion and is renowned for his exceptional knockout record. Throughout his illustrious career, Tyson amassed an impressive total of 44 knockout victories out of his 50 wins.

Tyson's remarkable punching power and aggressive fighting style enabled him to secure the majority of his victories by knockout, making him one of the most feared and dominant heavyweight boxers of all time.

His knockout record remains a testament to his unparalleled skill and dominance in the sport. It's especially impressive if we look at his first round KO's, in which he secured 25 knockouts before the bell rang for a second time.
