Gary Barlow's rarely-seen eldest son towered over his famous dad as the pair were snapped enjoying a family holiday in Venice.

The Take That star is 5ft 8in so was dwarfed by his 23-year-old son Daniel, who is thought to be 6ft 2in and the tallest one in the family. Father and son wore matching cream outfits as they soaked up some Italian sunshine on their winter break.

While Rule The World singer Gary went for smart casual in a cream T-shirt and white linen trousers, son Daniel donned white shorts and trainers and added a pop of colour with a yellow and orange psychedelic-inspired top.

And it looked like father and son had been enjoying a spot of designer shopping as Daniel was pictured with a green Gucci bag as they strolled around the Italian city. It is thought Daniel's girlfriend also accompanied his family on the trip. Mum Dawn Andrews was seen joining them later for a spot of lunch with her arm in a sling after recently breaking her wrist for the second time in a year.

Gary seemed to be enjoying a well-deserved break before Take That head out on tour again next year. The tour is set to kick off in Sheffield, playing two nights at the city’s Utilita Arena from April 14, 2024.

The band, which also includes Mark Owen and Howard Donald, will then play gigs in Leeds, Dublin, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and Middlesborough. Fans can also catch them live in Nottingham, Norwich, Milton Keynes, Southampton, Plymouth and Swansea before they play their final performance at the Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol on June 8.

But lead singer Gary recently revealed wife Dawn, who he has been married to for 23 years and shares children Daniel, 23, Emily, 21, and 14-year-old Daisy with, still doesn’t know he is going to be away for 11 months next year - although she might now!

“Before we announced this tour, we need to check with our wives. I’ve not told mine yet. We’re going on tour... for 11 months next year, " he told Jamie Theakston on Heart Radio Breakfast.

Take That formed in 1990 and are one of the most successful British boy bands ever. They now perform as a trio after Robbie Williams famously left the band in the Nineties and went on to have a massively successful solo career. Original member Jason Orange also left the band in 2014, turning his back on fame to live a quieter life out of the spotlight.

But the infamous Take That split, which hit fans so hard helplines were set up to cope with the devastation, has hit the headlines once again after Robbie William's new documentary aired on Netflix last week.

In the doc, Robbie describes feeling jealous and "vengeful" towards Gary, who got most of the attention as the lead singer of the band. It was this - and his well documented addictions to drink and drugs - that led to Robbie sensationally quitting the band in 1995 as they were about to embark on a world tour.

Robbie revealed: "I disliked Gary the most. He was the one that was supposed to have, be everything, the career… I wanted to make him pay – I was vengeful – by having the career that he was supposed to have."

Gary has also discussed their feud after putting the past behind them. He previously admitted that making up with Robbie was "like an exorcism", but the pair managed to put their differences behind them and Robbie rejoined Take That in 2010. Since 2014 Robbie has not performed with the band, but it seems their spat is definitely over.
