James Bond frontrunner Lucien Laviscount does his best 007 impressions as he emerges from the waves on a luxury break.

The Emily in Paris actor, 31, showed off his chiselled abs as he kicked back with footballer pal Rurik Gislason on a beach in Tulum. And the duo were also snapped chatting with actress Ella Balinska and model Georgia Summer, who joined them in the sea.

The group had travelled to the party hotspot to celebrate Gislason’s birthday, earlier this month. Lucien has been hitting headlines since it emerged Bond boss Barbara Broccoli is “very taken” with him - and believes he could replace outgoing Bond actor Daniel Craig.

And as these pictures show, he certainly has the pecs appeal. The last James Bond movie, No Time To Die, came out in 2021, starring Daniel Craig as the British MI6 agent in his fifth and final portrayal. Ever since the movie came out, there has been speculation about who will take on the role next.

The British actor first appeared on TV back in 2007 on Grange Hill, before landing roles in ITV soap Coronation Street and BBC drama Waterloo Road. The Emily in Paris star also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother back in 2011 before subsequently moving to Los Angeles to focus on his acting career.

After the big move he landed roles in Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens, the CW drama Katy Keene, and a series adaptation of Snatch. Lucien became a huge name after landing the role of Lily Collins' character's boyfriend in Netflix hit Emily in Paris.

Several names have been attached to the iconic spy franchise ever since it was revealed that Daniel Craig would no longer be 007. Lucien faces stiff competition to land the role from huge Hollywood names such as Henry Cavill and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes have revealed there have seven names priced 9/1 or shorter to replace Daniel Craig as 007, from Aaron Taylor-Johnson at 15/8 to Tom Hardy at 9/1, with Henry Cavill at 7/2 and Damson Idris at 9/2 making up the podium spots.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "The race to replace James Bond is closer than ever, with a whole host of names firmly in the running for the 007 role. At the moment, the odds suggest it's Aaron Taylor-Johnson's to lose."

It was reported back in December that Aaron had won over Bond boss Barbara Broccoli, and had already filmed footage as James Bond for the series’ iconic 007 opening gun-barrel sequence. The 32-year-old was said to have impressed in a secret audition at Pinewood Studios in November.
