The Nokia 6500 Classic was just 9.5mm thick and had an anodized aluminium casing. At launch it had a retail price of €320. This was considered highly competitive give the high-quality materials used on the phone and was considered to be indicative of Nokia’s dominance with regards to economies of scale and its purchasing power with suppliers at that time.
