One of the final Tomcat schemes to fly in the US Navy. F-14D BuNo 164350 with a commemorative paintscheme featuring the high-vis scheme seen on early F-14As.
Seen this cat along with my favorite BuNo.164603 on those last Tomecat air show pics, what a memory (even though I was born in 1999 and became a Tomcat fan in 2010)...
my dad was stationed at NAS Oceana when they had their last Tomcat flyout. That's why the Tomcat has a very special place in my heart. (Well and thanks to my dad I watched Top Gun probably hundreds of times as a kid ~born in 1995)
I ran into this F-14 Master File written by Tomcat521(a Chinese Tomcat fan site actived back then) in a book store (yep, in 2010), it changes my world...
I am German indeed, but he was stationed in the US 3 Times as a... uh... foreign relations officer? Don't really know what it's called in English. 2 times in Virginia and one time in Kansas.
Today it is my happy day! Thanks for Tomcat mania. 10/10 Points!
