Description of Liero
Here is the video game “Liero”! Released in 1999 on DOS, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's an action game, set in an arcade, shooter and tank themes and it was released on Windows as well.
You may also play Liero 1.36 or lierolibre ; these version are perfect clones of the DOS version, working on modern computers. Visit the official Liero website: http://www.liero.be/.

There's a fantastic online multiplayer version of this game on webliero.com and proxy.fly.dev (the extended version) with a small but active player base.

i used to play this game at school.
for i always it was a spin-off of Team 17's "Worms" due to being very similar in many ways, but then i found out it's not related at all to this franchise, just inspired from some ideas/elements from Worms series into it's own thing. still one of the best "player vs. player" i have every played for a real time .
