Corsair Carbide 330R Titanium Edition Review - PAGE 1
Marvin Purdy - Monday, February 2nd, 2015 Like ShareThe Corsair Carbide 330R mid-tower case was introduced in mid-June 2013 as a low noise case with high cooling performance at an affordable price. It incorporates noise dampening material in the two side panels, removable top cover and front door as well as using rubber feet to keep the system quiet. The Carbide 330R also uses a direct air path for the front mounted 140mm fan to pull air into the case, helping keep the internal components cool.
Now Corsair has again upped the ante on case design by re-introducing the Carbide 330R through the Titanium Edition. Made available in November 2014, the Carbide 330R Titanium Edition silent mid-tower case has a stylish gunmetal anodized aluminum front panel. Corsair has also added a 3-speed case fan controller that is cleverly hidden above the three external drive bays, but easily accesible for adjustment by opening the front panel.
Besides reducing noise, the direction the front panel of the Carbide 330R Titanium Edition can open is easily changed by moving the two snap clips; or you can simply remove the front door completely for unobstructed access to the external drive bays. Directly below the external drive bays is a mesh filter (which covers the included 140mm case fan) that is also easily removable for cleaning.
The Carbide 330R Titanium Edition's padded top panel is held in place with magnets that reveals installed rubber mountings for two 120mm or 140mm case fans when removed. This space also has mounting holes for a 240mm or 280mm radiator for liquid cooling. The rear panel includes a 120mm case fan, and finally the case bottom has a magnetically attached mesh filter to filter air for power supplies and is easily removable for cleaning.
We now have the updated Corsair Carbide 330R Titanium Edition silent mid-tower case for review with better fan speed control and a more stylish brushed gunmetal aluminum front panel. With that in mind we are going to take the next few minutes to unpackage this case, then take a closer look inside for investigation and testing.
