Corsair Carbide 330R Titanium Edition Review - PAGE 2
Marvin Purdy - Monday, February 2nd, 2015 Like ShareDue to the relatively average size, you would think that the Carbide 330R's packaging is not prone to shipment damage during transit. With our sample, a quick glance at the exterior packaging certainly shows minimal crush damage and only a couple of tears near the side handle cutouts that the packaging received during shipment.
As usual the package front has a graphical representation of the Carbide 330R with the three selling points translated into six languages: quiet operation (incorporates noise reduction material, three speed case fan control, optimal air intake placement), expandability (multiple storage device usage, motherboard size compatibility, liquid cooling options), and Corsair design (tool free drive installation, easily removable dust filters, cable routing options).
Turning to the back of the carton we find another graphic of the mid-tower case occupying the upper half. Here it is an exploded view of all of the components, including the noise reduction panels. Along the bottom is further information of the three system selling points, expanded for more clarification.
Both side panels have carrying handles in the upper third with the Corsair name and logo just below. A short specification list follows in three languages on one side and three different languages on the other, with additional front and side views of the case at the very bottom of both side panels. Not shown are the top and bottom panels of the packaging as they contain little information of concern.
The Carbide 330R Titanium is stored in a clear plastic bag cushioned by white expanded foam. No damage to the inner foam cushioning was observed (or expected judging from the minimal damage to the outer packaging).
The included Carbide 330R quick start suide is printed on an 11” by 17” sheet of paper that is folded to appear as a typical sized page, with a two part case graphic and model number on the front page. The back page is another graphic of the parts contained in the accessory box (shown below).
Inside the guide you find another exploded view of the case just like the one on the back panel, with a twelve part breakdown of the major components annotated by letters that correspond to a description of the part found below and translated into six languages.
The other paper in the carton is the Corsair warranty and support document.
The box of accessories is found in one of the internal drive trays. It has a small cardstock paper package that contains plastic bags with 16 short fan screws, 4 long fan screws, 10 MBD/HDD screws, 16 SSD/ODD tray mount screws, 4 cable ties and one extra motherboard standoff mount. You can refer to the back page of the quick start guide for a visual breakdown of the screws.
