The actress has been in the limelight since her teens, after being cast in hit TV show Dawson's Creek. Her fashion sense has evolved greatly over the years, and Katie prides herself on coming up with her own outfits. Whether she's dressed up on the red carpet or working a relaxed look in her free time, Katie is always the mastermind behind her wardrobe choices.
"I wear what I like," she shrugged to America's InStyle. "I tend to wear stuff that I own. I don't work with a stylist so it's really my style is influenced by real people and friends."
Recent red-carpet hits for Katie include a white Zac Posen dress and a stunning navy, form-fitting gown. The 36-year-old mixes it up with the designers she wears, but always likes to keep her outfits classic.
"I just like to be well covered, it's essential," she said. "I like to go pretty simple on the red carpet. I think it's really fun. Sometimes I think simplicity is best. It's more my personality. I don't like to spend that much time worrying about that."
She does spend time on her beauty regime though, religiously washing her face and exfoliating every night. Her products of choice include Olay Regenerist and for haircare, Alterna's Caviar Anti-Aging Overnight Hair Rescue. She's equally as strict when it comes to her diet.
"I drink a lot of water," she explained. "I try to be really disciplined about that and I try to eat a lot of vegetables, I really do! I'm on the kale bandwagon, I'm not gonna lie."
