Getting in shape shouldn’t be a punishment. It’s an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can make. I believe in finding the pleasurable side of fitness; and while there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the benefits of fitness are worth the challenge. I have developed my training regime by working with a variety of people, and constantly adapting my program to the needs of my new clients. While also providing different holistic healing services as well, the same place you go to beat up your body is the same place you can come and heal your body.

Hi! I'm Ashley aka Chette! I'm an '80s baby from Akron, Ohio; Owner of Norka Fitness and Nutrition in Shaker Heights, Ohio, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Nutritionist, Meditation Coach, and #BoyMom I've been living the fitness lifestyle since I was a kid playing outside all day, climbing trees, riding bikes, and racing the neighborhood boys. I ran track in middle school and high school and also joined my high school ROTC. I attended both Kent State University and Akron University, along with joining the Ohio National Guard. During this part of my life is where I found my love for the gym and fitness and never looked back. After 15+ years I've finally got the opportunity to open my own fitness/gym studio in Shaker Heights, Oh where I am able to bring my visions to reality. Creating a space where you can come and train your body but also heal your body as well. Along with group fitness classes, personal training, and nutrition coaching; I am able to provide a license massage therapist, a mediation room with optional guided meditations, and holistic line of herbal wellness remedies provided by Mindful Seedz.

This class approaches self-defense by emphasizing taking an opponent to the ground, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds

YOGA

Yoga is a mind and body practice that can build strength and flexibility. It may also help manage pain and reduce stress. Various styles of yoga combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation. It helps bring a balanced state to the body and mind, emotions, thoughts, intellect and behavior.

Based on the science of functional movement, CIRCL Mobility™ focuses on flexibility, breathwork, and mobility exercises to help you move better, longer. Set to a soundtrack of healing tones + sound frequencies to help your mind focus and release stress.

Bootcamp/HIIT

This class is a HIIT style where you will use a mixture of body weight workouts along with kettle bells, dumb bells, and other various workout equipment in a timed or repetition based workout. 

Build muscle, burn calories and fat, increase endurance and stamina, while also building self confidence .  

Gym Equipments

KickBoxing

In this class you'll utilize the heavy bag for various workouts mixed with some basic calisthenics and plyometric movements with exercises such as; push-ups, planks, mountain climbers, and many more in a HIIT (High Intense Interval Training)

I'll be 85yr in January and I couldn't walk a quarter mile and I couldn't play 18 holes of golf because I had so much muscle weakness. Now I can walk a couple miles, play 18 holes of golf with no problem at all, carry my clubs to the car, and I have a little bit of a calf muscle now.. So I'm happy.
