KEEP THEIR BEST PLAYERS AVAILABLE

Injuries are an annual problem for the Giants. Darren Waller’s presence on the injury report as questionable with a hamstring was not a welcome sight. This team believes it can accomplish a lot this season, starting Sunday against the rival Dallas Cowboys. But they can only reach their full potential if their best players are on the field.

SCORE TOUCHDOWNS, NOT FIELD GOALS

It is time for Daniel Jones to take the next step. He only threw one touchdown pass against the Cowboys in two games last season, and it happened with eight seconds left in garbage time of their second defeat on Thanksgiving. The Giants’ offense scored only three TDs against Dallas in the two games. Saquon Barkley punched in the other two. Field goals won’t get it done.

GET ROOKIES TO STEP UP & O-LINE TO PROTECT

Rookie corners Deonte Banks and Tre Hawkins are getting thrown right into the fire alongside Adoree Jackson facing Michael Gallup, Brandin Cooks and CeeDee Lamb. They’ll have to hold their own. Meanwhile, Andrew Thomas, John Michael Schmitz and Evan Neal have to handle a fierce pass rush paced by DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons.
