The Romans considered Pinks divine and cultivated them for their clove-scent and essential oils. Today, we still plant them for their divine fragrance. This beauty with feathery, fringed lavender and white flowers is a standout.

Pinks do not necessarily need to be planted in the rock garden, but they do require well-drained soil in order to make it through winter.
