Description:
The M203A2 Grenade Launcher is a breech-loading, pump-action, single-shot, manually operated weapon that enables Soldiers and small units to engage targets with accurate, lethal, grenade fire. The M203 is a 40mm single-shot grenade launcher designed for use with the M16, the M203A1 is used with the M4, and the M203A2 is the current modification that provides a mounting system compatible with the M16A4 and M4 and includes a quick attach bracket and a leaf sight to attach to the adapter rail system. The system has the ability to fire tear gas rounds, smoke, non-lethal projectiles, signal and practice rounds and standard 40mm rounds out to 350 meters.
