About this spot
Misurina is a small tourist center located in the north-east of the Dolomites at 1750 m. The hamlet is known as ‘the Pearl of the Dolomites’, which gives you an indication of its beauty and magnificence. It is also known for its favourable micro climate (especially in summer) and for the possibility of excursions to the nearby peaks; Monte Cristallo, Cadini di Misurina, the 3 Cime di Lavaredo and the Sorapis group surround Misurina and its famous lake.
The most famous image of Misurina and its lake includes the reflection of the San Bernardo Opera Diocesan Rehabilitation Center with the Sorapis Group towering behind it. Taking advantage of the lake you can also catch other reflections, especially at sunset when the clouds color up.
