Vote up the most hilarious and cruel crank calls Bart has ever dialed in to Moe's Tavern.

Every hero needs a nemesis. Batman has the Joker, Sherlock Holmes has Moriarty, and Moe Szyslak has Bart Simpson. Prank calling Moe's Tavern isn't as reliable a joke as, say, the couch gag, but Bart has nonetheless added to the already unrelenting misery of Moe's life. Of all all the unhealthy relationships between the citizens of Springfield, this one might be the most dangerous. Bart Simpson's prank calls have been part of The Simpsons almost as long as Homer's been downing Duff at the local watering hole.

These are some of the best The Simpsons prank calls that Bart has ever made. The humor is childish, but Moe's threats and his inability to figure out he's being played elevate the silly jokes to new levels. Now it's time for you to judge for yourself.

Vote up Bart's funniest prank calls from the many seasons of The Simpsons, then swing by Stoner's Pot Palace and tell 'em Itchy sent ya.

Season 2, Episode 11: "One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish"

Season 2 of The Simpsons really amps up the insults Moe hurls at his pint-sized tormentor. It's not enough that Moe is going to kill him, apparently, because he starts shouting, "I'm gonna pull out your eyeballs with a corkscrew!" As you can see, The Simpsons has always been a family-friendly affair.

Season 2, Episode 22: "Blood Feud"

This time, Moe vows to carve his name into Bart's back with an ice pick. Do you think the crusty bartender would just carve "Moe," or would he opt to go all out with his full Moammar Szyslak moniker? He might have trouble fitting all of those consonants on a small child's back.

    Season 3, Episode 10: "Flaming Moe's"

Easily one of the best episodes of the show's early run, "Flaming Moe's" is a rarity in that it shows Moe succeeding for once in his life. How successful is he? Even Bart's prank phone call doesn't work, as there is, in fact, someone at the bar with the actual name "Hugh Jass."

    Season 1, Episode 3: "Homer's Odyssey"

Though Bart's call itself is fine enough and Moe's threat is horrifying ("I swear I'm gonna slice your heart in half"), the exchange between Homer and Moe after is the real joke.

Homer: You'll get that punk someday, Moe.

Moe: I don't know. He's tough to catch. He keeps changing his name.

Season 22, Episode 17: "Love Is A Many Strangled Thing"

Technology changes, but The Simpsons will never go out of style. Thanks to texting, Bart is able to torment Moe in a whole new way, and Moe's stubby fingers make it difficult for him to text back a proper threat.

Season 1, Episode 13: "Some Enchanted Evening"

Audiences got their first taste of the tantalizing cat-and-mouse relationship between Moe and Bart way back in Season 1 when Bart asks to speak to an "Al Coholic." Moe's declaration that he'll kill Bart if he ever finds him is relatively tame compared to the ones that came after this.

Season 4, Episode 8: "New Kid On The Block"

This episode includes more than one glorious prank phone call and even showcases Bart's willingness to drag people into his web of evil and deceit. If he can convince his babysitter to prank call Moe, there's no telling how many other innocents he can recruit for his cause. The world might be in danger.

Season 4, Episode 8: "New Kid On The Block"

Though Moe's threat to shove a sausage down Bart's throat while sticking starving dogs up his butt is wonderful visual, the highlight of this gag is Bart giving the name of his nemesis, Jimbo Jones, as retaliation for dating his babysitter.

Bart using Moe as a weapon for his own selfish needs and hoping he would kill Jimbo is straight out of a Law and Order episode.

Season 2, Episode 14: "Principal Charming"

There's never been an episode about Moe being an actual cannibal (but really it's only a matter of time, when you weigh his usual responses), but the Season 2 episode "Principal Charming" offers the closest look at what Moe would do if he were ever turned into a zombie. He tells Bart, "I'll sink my teeth into your cheek and rip your face off!"

Season 14, Episode 5: "Helter Shelter"

Prank calls are timeless, as proven in this episode where the audience sees what would happen if the show were set in 1895. It also proves that whatever time period Moe is in, his insults are still wonderfully graphic. In this one, he threatens to drive a golden spike where Bart's Union meets his Central Pacific.

Season 1, Episode 13: "Some Enchanted Evening"

There's a darkness inside Moe Szyslak, and no one brings it out quite like Bart, who gets the bar owner for the second time in this episode. Really though, Marge doesn't win any parenting awards after hearing Moe threaten to cut Bart's belly open. She assumes it's just a crossed wire and hangs up.

(For younger readers who might not understand the reference, a crossed wire is a term used by dinosaurs to describe the ancient wired home telephone lines that came before cell phones.)

Moe has always been suicidal, and a likely reason would have to be the never-ending harassment from Bart. Even when Moe is at the end of his rope, Bart can't help but turn Moe into a "Moe Ron."

After this one, Moe promises to gut Bart like a fish and drink his blood when he finds him, which leads inevitably to one question: does Moe drink fish blood on a daily basis? It wouldn't be that surprising. He just has that certain vibe that screams, "I drink fish blood daily."

Moe has never been the brightest bulb, but the second "Treehouse Of Horror" pushes his inability to understand a prank call to the extreme.

Moe: Moe's Tavern...Hold on, I'll check. Hey everybody! I'm a stupid moron with an ugly face and a big butt and my butt smells and I like to kiss my own butt.

Season 3, Episode 11: "Burns Verkaufen Der Kraftwerk"

Although normally carefree when it comes to his prank calls, Bart's reign of secrecy is threatened in this episode. After Moe threatens to use Bart's head for a bucket and paint his house with his brains, Bart hangs up laughing. He's quickly silenced, however, when Marge tells him to go down to Moe's to collect Homer. In the end, Bart doesn't have anything to worry about, as Moe goes on like Lois Lane telling Clark Kent he just missed Superman again.
