At the time of her maiden voyage on 26th May 1998, the 'Grand Princess' became the largest passenger vessel in history, at an astounding 109,000 gross registered tons. She is also the most expensive ship ever built, costing around £270 million. Her owners, the P&O Group, believe she is also the most innovative, with features never before seen at sea.
