      Critics Consensus

Sting should satisfy horror fans in the mood for a creature feature, even if the end results likely won't linger in the memory.

Ed Too slow to get to the good part. Good part too short. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review miguel a fun movie drags alittle in the begining. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Lena It’s cheesy and fun not really gory but good story. 4/5 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/24 Full Review Donna C I found Sting to be entertaining. I didn’t get too excited before seeing it, but I actually enjoyed it. It had what I thought were funny parts and yet still spooky. It wasn’t my favorite horror/scary movie, but it definitely kept my interest. During some movies, I get so bored, I end up on my cell and then wonder what happened in the movie, after it’s over. Not this time. I’d recommend, if you are in the mood for a little spook Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Tori It was entertaining. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Gary M loved it bring the wife and kids good fun Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting Thanks to Browne’s bold performance and an emphasis on practical creature effects, Sting works as an entertaining throwback creature feature. Rated: 3/5 Apr 12, 2024 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com The makers of “Sting,” led by writer/director Kiah Roache-Turner (“Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead”), have obviously seen a lot of genre movies, but that cinephilia doesn’t translate into good cheap thrills or crowd-pleasing adventure drama. Rated: 2/4 Apr 12, 2024 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Variety “Sting” is never more than a cheeseball trifle, but at least the film knows it. Apr 12, 2024 Full Review Rob Hunter Film School Rejects Sting finds some minor thrills as the extraterrestrial arachnid goes about its creepy, flesh-eating business, and fans of the subgenre will enjoy those highs. The human element is nowhere near as strong, though. May 3, 2024 Full Review Jenn Adams Strong Female Antagonist Roache-Turner imbues the film with a razor-sharp wit and threatens characters we’ve been trained to assume will be safe. Rated: B Apr 27, 2024 Full Review Oliver Pfeiffer SciFiNow Brad Shield’s prowling camerawork around the confined, one-location setting helps keep events thoughtfully focused while maintaining gripping momentum.
