Rocker Ronnie Wood has turned fashionista by launching an "electrifying" new clothing and accessories range based on his artwork.

Rather than wanting to Paint It Black, the Rolling Stone has opted for colourful, edgy designs featuring swirling patterns and guitars for his line, launched at department store Liberty.

The 62-year-old, who left his wife Jo Wood for Russian cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova, has teamed up with the department store Liberty to launch a clothing range based on three of his paintings.

Brown Thomas has been confirmed as the exclusive Irish stockist of the Ronnie Wood collection.

According to the press blurb, “the capsule collection offers an extensive line of fashion accessories including scarves, unisex t-shirts, clutches, shopper bags and racer back dresses” emblazoned with prints of three of the Rolling Stone’s paintings.

A collaboration between Wood and Liberty of London’s Creative Director, Tamara Salman, the collection “fuses rock & roll and fashion whilst revisiting the brand’s tradition of avant-garde floral patterns, and is a cauldron of mixed-media innovation.”
