Subway Portrait, New York, c. 1938-1941. Inscribed "Subway series - unpublished" in pencil on the verso l.l. and with a "Lunn Gallery," Washington, DC, stamp inscribed with "VI 183" in pencil on the verso u.r. Gelatin silver print, image size 5 3/8 x 8 1/8 in. (13.7 x 20.6 cm),matted, unframed.
Condition: Unmounted, minor wear at corners, especially l.l., small black spot at bottom center, small area of brown discoloration at u.l.
Estimate $3,000-5,000

Sheet size 8 x 10 in. (20.3 x 25.0 cm). Chemical discoloration at upper right edge.
