Defender Pat Kanyuka has joined Northampton Town on an initial three-month contract after impressing on trial.
The 22-year-old central defender has been with the Sixfields side for the past two weeks, playing in a couple of reserve games.
The 6ft 4in Congolese, whose former clubs include Swindon Town and QPR, is able to join the League Two outfit outside the transfer window as he is a free agent.
Cobblers boss Ian Sampson told the club's official website: "I am pleased that Pat has agreed terms.
"I have been looking to bring in another defender and he is different to what we already have.
"He has settled in well, and has been training with us for the last two weeks so we have got to have a good look at him and he has impressed us."
