Katie Price 'may lose a leg' as doctors warn her of infection

Katie Price has been urged by doctors to take extra care while recovering from her emergency operation – or risk losing a leg.

The 42-year-old was reportedly left “terrified” at the consequences should her leg wounds become infected after surgery.

The star, who is currently under the care of the Fortius clinical team at Chelsea and Westminster, broke her feet while jumping off a wall in a theme park in Turkey and was promptly told she will need urgent "major surgery."

Instead of flying home to be treated, Price enjoyed the rest of her holiday abroad with children Junior and Princess, along with new partner Carl Woods.

But the severity of her injuries has seen doctors tell Price she “must take recovery seriously.”

“It’s left her terrified,” an insider told The Sun. “She's prone to getting infections after operations, and her surgeon says she could lose a leg if her feet get infected.

"She'll have to be so, so careful - she'll have medical professionals on call 24/7 - and change the dressings regularly.

"She's got a long road ahead of her.”

Price has previously suffered from infections after cosmetic procedures.

After having corrective breast surgery in June last year, the glamour model was left with an indentation on her breasts.

Price also flew out to Turkey in 2019 to have an emergency meeting with her surgeon following a face lift, where she complained about her surgery scars “oozing pus”.

A representative told Evening Standard: "Katie has been advised prior to her surgical procedure of the risks attached. Katie is in the very best of expert hands and the risk is minimal."

Despite her pain, Price has remained in high spirits.

After telling her followers on Instagram she may be off her feet for up to six months, she lavished praised on Woods.

The pair were spotted looking loved-up after the 31-year-old carried Price to her appointment.

“Carl is being amazing and looking after me,” she said.
