Ingredients

Piano Cake

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened at room temperature
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream, room temperature

Chocolate Chip Meringue

  • 6 large egg whites
  • 2 cups superfine sugar
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Chocolate Buttercream

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened at room temperature
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups cocoa powder
  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Chocolate Ganache

  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Decorations

  • 16 white chocolate kit kats
  • 10 milk chocolate kit kats

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F, and line a 13x9-inch pan with baking spray and parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa. Using a hand mixer, blend the butter, eggs and vanilla into the dry mix.
