Liam Payne and girlfriend Cheryl Cole seem to be living a pretty blissful life together with their baby son Bear, but as the we all know, the course of true love never runs 100% smooth.

In this case, it’s the lyrics to Liam’s new single “Bedroom Floor” that may hint at a little past drama between the lovebirds. Though the single was actually written by a few writers (including Charlie Puth), the internet-at-large seem to think that the song is a nod toward Liam's relationship with Cheryl with lyrics like "when my iPhone rings/I be telling you/I told you/You said it was over/you said it was over.”

After all, Liam did say in an earlier interview with The Sun that there is a song on the album about how "a phone call that happened between me and her when she was about to let it go."

“This is a long time ago. And it’s basically me trying to cling on and say: ‘No, no, no it’s all going to work out, don’t worry about it, give it time.’” Liam told the publication back in May, leading many to put two and two together.

Liam has also previously said that “Bedroom Floor” is Cheryl’s favorite tune on his upcoming album, so whether or not the song is about her trying to dump him over the phone, it sounds like she’s cool with reliving that moment musically ... and that the couple is clearly over that bump in the road.
