Whether it is with Troy Bolton’s now TikTok-adept 'do or with subtle mullets, Zac Efron is no stranger to hair transformations — but it looks like the star is shifting focus to his facial hair at the moment. Spotted this past week, we are pleased to report that Zac is now sporting a '70s-style mustache (or dad-stache if you will) just in time for no shave November.
Is this the start of something new? It sure looks like it. Though the actor has certainly stepped out with many mustaches in the past, this new look is definitely not 17 Again and far from his frat-astic look in Neighbors. The strong, Ron Swanson-esque mustache is reportedly part of his new character’s look.
Zac is set to star in the forthcoming movie The Greatest Beer Run Ever, which is about John Donohue's eight weeks of delivering beer to his buddies and other soldiers fighting in the Vietnam War. The production is an Apple Original and is based on the book The Greatest Beer Run Ever: A Memoir of Friendship, Loyalty and War. He will be rocking the ‘stache among fellow facial-haired friends, Russell Crowe and Bill Murray.
The question everyone is asking themselves (and rightfully so) is whether Zac plans to keep his new look beyond his work duties to channel the look his own dad rocked in the late '80s. We'll have to wait to find out!
