X-Men Scot James McAvoy dating American PA following shock split from actress wife Anne-Marie Duff
Despite still living with soon-to-be ex-wife, the new couple have been together for months after meeting through her boss
X MEN Scot James McAvoy is dating a pretty American PA following his shock split earlier this year from wife Anne-Marie Duff.
The actor , 37, has been seeing Lisa Liberati for the last few months after they met through her boss director M Night Shyamalan.
He is still living with actress Anne-Marie, 46 - who he fell in love with on the set of TV show Shameless in 2004 - and their child in their London home after the couple vowed to divorce amicably in May.
Instead he has been visiting Lisa at her home in Philadelphia where he has been proudly introducing her as his girlfriend.
A source said: “James and Lisa are having a lot of fun together and behave like a pair of lovestruck teenagers when they are together.
“He’s not going to rush into anything after his split from Anne Marie but he is having a great time in his new relationship.
“They both love partying and are regularly all over each other when they go out together. It’s no secret amongst their social group that they are together and everyone thinks they are a great fit.”
James is starring in The Sixth Sense filmmaker Shyamlan’s latest movie Split and became friends first with Lisa, who is the Oscar nominee’s assistant, in 2015 when preparing for the shoot.
Following his split from Anne Marie the actor was linked to his X Men: Apocalypse co-star Alexandra Shipp but a source insisted: “He was already growing close to Lisa at that point as they regularly socialised together on nights out.”

"I don’t care if people are living without a marriage certificate. It is just about people saying , ‘I commit to you’.”
