How did Dannii Minogue become famous ? What is her background?
Dannii Minogue, 46, was born October 20, 1971 and is an Australian singer, dancer, songwriter, model, fashion designer, and actress.
She is the younger sister of Pop Princess Kylie Minogue.
She shot to fame in 1988 on Home and Away playing tomboy and rebel Emma Jackson, rivalling her sister Kylie who was starring as Charlene Mitchell in Neighbours at the time.
In 1990 Danni left the Australian soap to become a singer.
After her pop career she returned to TV and has enjoyed stints on X Factor, Australia's Got Talent and Australia's X Factor.

In January 1994 Dannii married actor Julian McMahon who she met in 1991 while starring Home and Away - but there were divorced by 1995.
In August 2008, she began dating English model Kris Smith.
They went on to have a son, Ethan Edward Minogue-Smith, in July 2010.
The couple split in 2012.
Dannii is now dating music producer Adrian Newman.
