George Michael’s Eighties co-star Marilyn demands answers over who was ‘involved’ in his death

Plea comes as police continue enquiries and delay official announcement of cause of singer's death

GEORGE Michael’s 80s chart co-star Marilyn has called for “justice” over his death.

The singer, 54, who sang with George on the original Band Aid record in 1984, called for a full probe.

He took to social media yesterday to voice his frustration at delays in official confirmation of the circumstances in which the Wham! icon passed away on Christmas Day.

He tweeted: “I hope they do an investigation into George Michael’s death. Something stinks. The facts of his last hours need airing. ‘Heart attack’? Hmmm.

“Who is involved, why did he die.”

Marilyn, real name Peter Robinson, added: “What are the facts, who is involved, why did he die.

“This campaign needs ramping up several notches. Answers please, authorities.”

His plea comes as it emerges police inquiries into the late star’s final hours are ongoing with multiple witnesses and potential witnesses being approached for information as officers compile a file for the Oxfordshire coroner.

An initial post-mortem examination proved inconclusive, with officials now carrying out toxicology tests to determine whether George had any chemicals, illegal or otherwise, in his system in the lead-up to his death which could have played a part.

George’s representatives initially cited heart failure as the cause of his death — and have denied reports that he had been using heroin in the final year of his life, leading to several emergency hospital visits.
