Welcome to the pixie club, Katie Holmes!

The actress, 38, just made her most dramatic hair transformation in more than a decade, chopping her brunette waves into a fierce pixie. She debuted the new look at an event in New York City this week, pairing the cut with a romantic, floral dress.

Holmes may look like she’s taking a cue from Audrey Hepburn with her chic crop, but she actually cut her hair for her upcoming role in the action thriller "The Doorman." In the movie, Holmes will play an ex-Marine struggling to adjust to civilian life, until an unexpected crime calls her back into action.

“She’s a warrior,” Holmes told People magazine. “I’m excited. I’m training. I’m sore.”

The actress’s go-to hairstylist, DJ Quintero, told People that Holmes wanted to “find a balance between something feminine but kickass ‘cause she’s working really hard — her body looks incredible.”

Holmes definitely owned her new look at the event for FAO Schwarz, which just unveiled a holiday toy collection at Bergdorf Goodman.

She was all smiles as she and Quintero took a turn on the legendary toy store’s famous piano.

We’re more used to seeing Holmes with long, wavy locks, but this isn’t the first time the actress has rocked super-short hair. Her effortless pixie in 2008 was so chic, so French.
