George Michael, who died at age 53 on Christmas Day, had reportedly amassed a $128 million fortune over the course of his career and quietly spent millions across numerous charities. According to the New York Daily News, Michael generously donated to charities for children, H.I.V., and sexual health, becoming a noted advocate for the L.G.B.T.Q. community, but he also anonymously shared his wealth with strangers in need, including a woman who needed money for I.V.F. treatment and a waitress in student-loan debt.

Despite his donating millions of dollars over the years, there are still millions left over, most of which is expected to go to the children of his famous friends, per The Daily Mirror. Michael had several godchildren, including Roman and Harley Moon Kemp, the children of his Wham! Bandmate Shirlie Holliman and Spandau Ballet member Martin Kemp, Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy, and Bluebell, who is the goddaughter of his former partner Kenny Goss and daughter of former Spice Girl Geri Horner. In addition to his godchildren, his sisters, Yioda and Melanie and current partner, Fadi Fawaz, are also expected to be in his will. According to Page Six, Michael’s fortune includes multiple properties, including a $9.8 million home in north London, a $3 million home in Los Angeles, a $4.3 million beach home in Sydney, and the $6.1 million Oxfordshire home where he was discovered on Sunday.
