Freida Pinto just gave birth to her first child with husband Cory Tran, and the actress is already gushing on Instagram over what a great dad he is.

Pinto announced the big news on social media on Sunday in a birthday tribute to her husband. Posting a heartwarming picture of Tran and their newborn taking a nap together, she wrote, “Happy Birthday Dada Cory! I celebrate you my husband, friend and partner in life. To see you become not just a Dad but Super-Dad makes me so emotional and fills me with joy.” She added that his great parenting has also given “this sleep deprived Mama” the gift of some much-needed me-time. She wrote, “you have no idea how much I appreciate that! I am so grateful and in love with how we do life together. Love you madly.” She concluded by revealing the name and sex of their newborn, writing, “Rumi-Ray you are one lucky boy!”

The actress also shared a photo of herself cradling her son with an angel emoji place over his face. Tran shared both those photos on his own Instagram account as well, thanking his wife for the “Best birthday gift you could ever ask for.” He continued, “Thank you for our sweet boy. I’m in awe of you more and more every day. Watching you give birth to Rumi-Ray was truly a miracle, you are such a warrior.”

The couple first announced they were expecting a child together in June after they had to cancel their big Indian-style wedding in Big Sur due to the pandemic, quietly eloping instead. The pair first met in 2017 after they were introduced by their mutual friend, Aaron Paul, and got engaged two years later. Pinto confessed on The Kelly Clarkson Show last month, “We just realized we were going to be planning this for the rest of our lives and probably never doing it. So, we decided one day to go to the Honda Center in Anaheim and just get married.”
