Holly Golightly is the wide-eyed New York socialite famously played by Audrey Hepburn in the classic 1961 film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Plot aside, the character’s look – LBD, chignon, cat-eye frames – instantly became iconic, and is still referenced on the red carpet to this day.

In one of the most famous scenes from the film, Hepburn can be seen in a black Givenchy dress with gloves and a cascade of pearls, sunglasses perched on her nose. Lady Gaga just took inspiration from this exact look, posting a selection of snaps on her Instagram taken pre-, during and post-rehearsal for her Enigma + Jazz & Piano residency, which starts in Las Vegas next week.

With her platinum-blonde hair twisted into a chignon at the crown of her head, and a micro-fringe just skimming the top of her eyebrows, Gaga paid homage to Hepburn’s timeless look. The only departure was a bold red lip, which lent a retro-glam spin to her ensemble – and doesn’t she look fabulous?
