...2009, it was announced that Sophie Dahl was to present her own cookery show on BBC Two. The six-episode series featured recipes from the supermodel's cookbook, Miss Dahl's Voluptuous Delights, as well as featuring "personal food memories" from her childhood. "Cooking often serves as an emotional barometer, and with this show we will run the gamut - from a solo dinner that suits melancholy, to a homecoming feast for 20," Dahl revealed.

...2008, Sonia Rykiel joined the likes of Azzedine Alaia, Emanuel Ungaro and Giorgio Armani by being awarded the title of Grand Commander in France's Legion of Honor. The French national merit system, created by Napoleon Bonaparte, is celebrated every year on July 14. Rykiel was decorated with the title by President Nicolas Sarkozy.

...2004, Gucci installed a coffee shop in its Milan boutique to provide its customers with a quick caffeine injection. Designed to provide a refreshing pit-stop so customers could continue to shop, the teak wood and steel bar acted as a partition between the store and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II where the store issituated, cleverly attracting new customers at the same time.
