Starting as an adult can suck right? Well with this guide you'll be able to live as a teenager in your own house in the sims 3. It's really simple.

Steps

Download Article

One MUST be an adult or young adult, the other obviously will be the teenager (note that this doesn't work with Sim children as they cannot cook or work) you'll be playing with so make him/her good.
It doesn't need to be magnificent. You can use the cheat "freerealestate" to get a free house.

Make him/her stop when they've put it in the oven.

Make them the gender of the teenager you want but don't worry about looks. Assign the traits you want though.
You will be returned to the ordinary game with a teenage Sim.

- This method is better than killing your adult Sim because your other Sims won't mourn for their loss and won't even realize that he's / she's gone! However, it might cause save game glitches.

Will child protective services come to take the teen Sims away once I get rid of the adults? Or does the game think there is still an adult there?

Neither. The teen is able to live on their own without the social worker taking them or needing an adult. They are able to care for themselves.

You might want to use "testingcheatsenabled true" or the "Heart of Stone" Lifetime reward to get rid of the extremely low moodlet when your other Sim dies.
