It slowed down as it approached the intersection of Baptist Children's Home Road and West Holly Hill Road Extension. Thomasville Police report that a GMC Terrain, driving west on West Holly Hill Road, entered the intersection with a green light.The GMC hit Engine 23 in the right front passenger area. Police said both vehicles were going about 35 mph.The impact caused the fire truck to lose control and overturn on Lake Road near I-85. The driver of the SUV and one firefighter went to Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center with minor injuries. Two other firefighters received precautionary evaluation after being transported to the hospital, too. One additional patient was also hospitalized.No charges have been filed related to the fire truck collision. This is a developing story. Responders were called to the area of Interstate 85 southbound near Fisher Ferry Street in Thomasville around 1:20 p.m., on a report of a person trapped under a vehicle.

Thomasville Fire Department Engine 23, driving with both emergency lights and sirens on, was going south on Baptist Children's Home Road. It slowed down as it approached the intersection of Baptist Children's Home Road and West Holly Hill Road Extension.

Thomasville Police report that a GMC Terrain, driving west on West Holly Hill Road, entered the intersection with a green light.

The GMC hit Engine 23 in the right front passenger area.

Police said both vehicles were going about 35 mph.
