You might be one of those people who can’t stand to have long hair during the summer. It’s too hot! It needs to go! Katie Holmes seems like she might be in the short summer hair camp as well. The actress recently cut her hair for the spring and summer season, and now Holmes’ beach bob is the envy of many sporting shoulder-length locks.

Holmes posted a photo of her tousled mermaid bob on Instagram on Sunday, and we were immediately like, “Girl, what is your secret?” Knowing that Holmes prefers to keep her look natural, we have a feeling this wave might be her own.

Happy Sunday! #setlife #thegift

But just because we weren’t blessed with glorious wind-swept hair does not mean we’re giving up on replicating it!

Stand down, straight hair — you’re about to be wave-ified!

In a 2016 interview with Byrdie, Holmes said that she loves using hair products by the brand Alterna. She likes to put products with healthy ingredients into her hair, to keep it looking and feeling great.

She said she uses the Moisture Milk ($32) to get her signature shine, and the Caviar Anti-Aging Shampoo ($34). And when there’s no time for a wash, Holmes uses the Caviar Dry Shampoo ($25).

Holmes claims the Alterna brand helps cut down on styling time because your hair will just start to look good and healthy all the time. That means that she doesn’t put a lot of work into her beach waves.

Just as we suspected, they’re all her. Darn it!

The best way to get Katie Holmes-inspired waves is to whip out the curling iron and invest in some good salt spray. Sleeping in loose braids might also do the trick if you don’t want to use heat.

Then again, perhaps take a different page out of Holmes’ style book and sport your own natural hair all summer long! There’s nothing better than natural you!
