IC Capture.AS - Camera control software<br />
IC Capture.AS is an original software product of <strong>The</strong><br />
<strong>Imaging</strong> <strong>Source</strong>. Written specifically for the astronomy<br />
market, this robust camera control software is included<br />
with all camera models. IC Capture.AS allows the user<br />
to:<br />
• set all available camera parameters<br />
• view live image streams from the camera<br />
• retrieve and save singular images and sequences in<br />
BMP and JPG formats<br />
• capture and save image sequences as lossless,<br />
uncompressed AVI files.<br />
AVI file generation<br />
IC Capture.AS can capture image sequences in both<br />
compressed and uncompressed file formats.<br />
Depending on the imaging requirements, IC Capture.<br />
AS allows the user to save uncompressed and lossless<br />
AVI files or files compressed with any one of the codecs<br />
installed on the system. Examples of such codecs<br />
include MJPEG Compressor, DV Video Encoder and<br />
Intel Indeo.<br />
Compatibility to other programs<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Imaging</strong> <strong>Source</strong> cameras are cross-platform<br />
compatible with available drivers for Windows (IC WDM<br />
DCAM TIS), MAC OS (Astro IIDC), and Linux (uvcvideo).<br />
Post-processing of single images and image sequences<br />
is trivial utilizing the lossless, uncompressed AVI files<br />
generated by <strong>The</strong> <strong>Imaging</strong> <strong>Source</strong> camera.<br />
RegiStax and Photoshop can easily import the single<br />
images or sequences of images for further manipulation<br />
such as stacking, cropping, and “mosaic“ing.<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Imaging</strong> <strong>Source</strong> astronomy cameras may be used<br />
in conjunction with MaxIm DL for telescope guiding.<br />
