TEXAS -- “The Delta Force.” “Hero and the Terror.” “Missing in Action.” “Invasion U.S.A.” The films of action star and martial artist Chuck Norris will never be mistaken for children’s fare, but that’s exactly what he’s up to in Texas this week.

Texas First Lady Cecilia Abbott Wednesday announced the honorary Texan will be the next guest on "Stars of Texas Storytime."

Norris at 10 a.m. on Thursday will read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by author Eric Carle.

You can find the reading on Gov. Greg Abbott's Facebook page.

Other special Stars of Texas Storytime guest stars have included Kendra Scott, Charlotte Jones Anderson, Colt McCoy, George Strait and Ben Crenshaw.

Norris, star of the long-running “Walker, Texas Ranger,” was named an honorary Texan by the Texas Senate in 2017. Norris was born in Oklahoma but has lived northwest of Houston for years.
