    Extremely high quality

    I loved this knife the moment I picked it up. It's heavier than I imagined and it performs extremely well under the harshest of conditions. It's a knife you can trust when you need a sturdy knife than hold a sharp edge. The Kydex sheath holds the knife tightly. I believe I may add a lock near the thumb release (that can be unlocked with a flick of the thumb) to prevent the kydex from speading. I wouldn't want the knife to fall out one day if the kydex wears enough for a loose fit. I can imagine a piece of spring steel holding the kydex together and at the same time being designed so that trying to release the knife using the thumb release pad would unlock the knife for an easy release. I believe this could be an awesome version 2 for the kydex sheath. Maybe replaceable kydex pieces where ...

    I wanted to check it out.

    I have read so much about the BK2 I thought I would check it out. It's every thing they say it is. It would give good service, if I would carry it. I also have Fallkniven's, ESEE's, Spartan Blades, SOG's, TOPS and others. I find the field knife that I pickup and use almost every time is a TOPS Silent Hero.

    Love it!

    If the sad day ever came when I could only have one knife this is the only one I would consider besides the Cold Steel Trailmaster bowie! Or the BK 10, a little longer clip-point blade but basically the same knife. The only thing I really don't like is the limp, "dangler-type" strap that attaches the sheath [Excellent Kydex tension-lock type!] to the belt. Unless the retainer strap is fastened the knife hangs horizontally-just not acceptable. A minor complaint is the handle scales are too smooth. Fortunately this is easily corrected by roughing them up with a wood rasp or coarse sand paper. Definitely a go-to piece of equipment, bullet-proof & heavy enough to chop with. Get one.

    If you need a knife and a hatchet but only have room for one. This is the knife for you

    Thick and over built. Keeps a good edge though you'll need a big sharpener. Only had mine for a couple days. Took it into the woods with me today while I get setup for deer hunting season here in southwest Iowa. hanging tree stands and prepping trees for my climbing tree stand as well as clearing some shooting lanes for my arrows. Left my estwing hatchet in the car and took the bk2 out in its place. This knife is a beast. Was able to hack limbs and even small trees out of the way while prepping shooting lanes and gets my treestands up. Went through a lot of abuse today and had it on my back (ranger carry) all day. At the end of the day after cutting through at least 40 tree limbs it still had a edge good enough to slice through some chicken breasts for the grill. Cons: ...
